White Grape Cosmo Cocktail
This white grape cosmo recipe is perfectly balanced and contains just the right amount of sweetness to be fun and refreshing. With only three ingredients, it is also an easy cocktail to mix for your guests or for yourself after a long day.
I love cosmos and enjoy all the different cosmo flavors that have come out in the last ten years. What I don’t like about some of the newfangled ones, however, is that they tend to be too sweet. At least to my taste.
That’s why I love this white grape cosmo recipe. It offers the perfect amount of sweetness and its three ingredients meld so nicely together that it is lip smacking good.
The addition of the frozen grapes makes it a pretty cocktail, too! It’s one of the few cocktails I serve whose garnish is eaten all up.
You see that? I’m HELPING people get one of their daily serving of fruit. I feel so virtuous. 😉

Helpful tips
- If I’m making this cosmo for a party, I keep a bunch of grapes in the freezer. Grapes are delicious straight out of the freezer so if you have leftover grapes, just pop them in your mouth.
- When I make a cocktail that goes into a martini glass, I put the glass in the freezer at least five minutes before I need to pour; ten minutes is even better.
- I did not put the glasses in the freezer for this post because you can’t see inside a frosty glass clearly, which makes it difficult to photograph.
- I do use mid-level to premium ingredients for this cocktail because you’re going to taste them; this drink is mostly booze with a little juice poured in.
- You won’t have a variety of choices when it comes to white grape juice, but I recommend one that is 100% juice, with no added sugar. If you can’t find one without added sugar, I say make a different cocktail as your cosmo will be too sweet.
- Wash the grapes before putting them in the freezer. You are going to be putting them in the cocktail as the garnish and you do not want to be drinking residual pesticides.
- How I wash grapes: Place grapes in a small bowl and pour cold water over them. Let the bowl fill up and swish your fingers around the grapes. Drain water and squirt some all natural, unscented hand soap in your palm and grab handfuls of grapes rub your hands over the grapes. Place grapes in a strainer and run cold water over the grapes making sure they are soap free.
How to make the white grape cosmo
Pre-step
Place a bunch of washed and dried grapes in the freezer at least 10 minutes before you are going to mix the cocktail.
Get a cocktail shaker, measuring glass and two martini glasses. I use one classic martini glass and one bowl shaped glass I bought at Crate & Barrel because I’m a rebel.
Fill cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
After measuring out each ingredient, pour it into the shaker.
Step one
Gather the ingredients – vodka, Cointreau and white grape juice.
Step two
Measure 4 ounces of vodka.
Step three
Measure 2 ounces of Cointreau.
Step four
Measure 2 ounces of white grape juice.
Step five
Cap the shaker and shake it for at least 15 seconds.
Step six
Strain and divide the precious liquid between your two martini glasses. Take frozen grapes out of the freezer.
Place as many grapes as you like in each white grape cosmo. For this post, I used 3 white grapes and 2 red grapes in each drink.
Let’s see the classic martini glass in front.
Notice that the glass is frosting up because of the cold liquid and the frozen grapes. See how it’s a little harder to see through?

Instructions
