Helpful tips
- Cook the pizza rolls straight from the freezer. Thawing first will affect the texture, making them less crispy. Totino’s pizza rolls are my go-to brand.
- The beauty of using an air fryer is that you don’t need to add extra oil. The rolls will still become crispy and delicious without it.
- For the best results, don’t overcrowd the trays or air fryer basket. Cooking in batches ensures that each pizza roll cooks evenly and gets sufficiently crispy.
- Shaking the basket or flipping the pizza rolls halfway through cooking ensures that each side becomes evenly crispy.
- The tray type of air fryer and basket type work with this recipe.
- Depending on your air fryer model and the size of the pizza rolls, cooking times may vary slightly. Start checking a minute or two before the recommended time and adjust as needed.
- If you prefer your pizza rolls to be less crispy, you can experiment with lowering the temperature and increasing the cooking time slightly.
- You can add some pizza sauce in a little bowl like I do. Another great dipping sauce is marinara sauce, salsa, and ranch dressing. But use your favorite dipping sauce.
- You can store any leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container and place in the refrigerator for up to five days.
- To reheat the pizza rolls, you can place them back in the air fryer for 5 minutes at 350 degrees F or in the toaster oven, which is how I reheat them.
- A fun way to serve them at a party is to take a toothpick and attach a piece of pepperoni to each pizza roll.

How to make air fryer pizza rolls
Pre-step
Get out your air fryer and tongs. Preheat to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and set the timer for 10 minutes. If you have the tray type of fryer, take the trays out. If you have the basket type, leave it in and add the food when it has finished preheating.
Step one
Take the pizza rolls out of the freezer. (I only put them in a bowl for the photo.)

Step two
Arrange the rolls on the trays like I did, or do them in batches in the basket type of air fryer. Make sure they either barely touch each other or have enough room for the air fryer to do its work.

Step three
When the air fryer has come to temperature, add the trays.
For the basket air fryer – add the pizza rolls. Make sure to spread them out into a single layer for even cooking. Avoid overcrowding the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
Step four
At the five-minute mark, take your tongs and flip the rolls. This is for both types of air fryers. This promotes even browning and ensures that all sides get crispy.
You could shake the basket, but I need to use tongs anyway to separate them, so I use the tongs.
Step five
After the initial cooking time, check the pizza rolls. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside. If they’re not quite there yet, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, but keep an eye on them to avoid burning.

Step six
Allow the pizza rolls to cool for 1-2 minutes before serving. They can be extremely hot inside, and letting them sit for a moment helps prevent burned mouths.
Step seven
Serve your crispy air fryer pizza rolls with your favorite dipping sauces, such as marinara, ranch, or pizza sauce.

It is so simple to air-fry pizza rolls. Just try it and see.
