Mrs Claus Cocktail
This Mrs Claus cocktail recipe is creamy, smooth, and delicious. It calls for only three ingredients, and its appearance screams ‘holiday cocktail’: perfect to serve during this festive season.
There are a few different cocktails with the name Mrs Claus. This is my favorite because the bright white drink with rainbow sprinkles on whipped cream look like a party waiting to happen.
I love that every ingredient in this Christmas cocktail represents the holidays to me. White chocolate liqueur, eggnog, and peppermint schnapps meld together nicely for a sweet and refreshing seasonal treat.
In my opinion, peppermint schnapps can overtake a cocktail if one uses a heavy hand. But given the amount this recipe calls for, there’s no chance of that happening. Add a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of colorful nonpareils and you have a fun, snowy beverage.
This is not your average Christmas drink, and it’s delicious. Try it and see if you don’t enjoy this festive cocktail.

Helpful tips
- Although I’m partial to the Godiva brand, there are other white chocolate liqueurs, so use whatever brand you prefer.
- If you have a Whole Foods near you, I recommend their stellar, tasty eggnog. If you don’t shop at Whole Foods, get the best quality eggnog you can find.
- This cocktail is usually served without ice but I’m just as fond of it with. Try it both ways to see which you prefer.
- The garnish for this cocktail is a dollop of whipped cream and the rainbow sprinkles, or nonpareils, used to decorate cupcakes. I’m also using some edible gold hearts, but those are optional.
How to make the Mrs Claus cocktail
Pre-step
Get a cocktail shaker and fill it halfway with ice. Also get a measuring glass and two glasses. I used a classic martini glass and a small handled glass so you can see the cocktail straight up (no ice) and on the rocks (with ice.)
After measuring out the ingredients, add to the cocktail shaker.
Step one
Gathering the ingredients – white chocolate liqueur, eggnog, and peppermint schnapps.
Step two
Measure 4 ounces of white chocolate liqueur. (A)
Step three
Measure 4 ounces of eggnog. (B)
Step four
Measure 1 ounce of peppermint schnapps. (C)
Step five
Cap the cocktail shaker and shake for 15 seconds. If you’re serving one of these cocktails with ice, add two ice cubes to the glass. Divide and strain mixture between the two glasses.
Also get out the whipped cream and the rainbow sprinkles.
Step six
Squirt a dollop of whipped cream into both of the glasses and top with rainbow sprinkles and the optional gold hearts.
Look how the ice in the short glass acts like a raft for its dollop of whipped cream.
Let’s look at the vertical view. Notice how the rainbow sprinkles add more color.
Isn’t that fun? Here’s one more photo.
I hope you enjoyed this Mrs Claus cocktail recipe. If you like eggnog, you will love this recipe.
And as always, may all your dishes/drinks be delish.
