Ingredients

  • 4 ounces Godiva chocolate liqueur (or any chocolate liqueur)
  • 4 ounces RumChata liqueur
  • 4 ounces caramel vodka

Garnish

  • 1 teaspoon chocolate sauce
  • 1 Dove chocolate (chopped finely)

Instructions

  • Cut some dark chocolate into very small pieces and place them on a small plate.
    1 Dove chocolate
  • Stick your finger in chocolate sauce and run it around the rim of your glasses.
    1 teaspoon chocolate sauce
  • Dip the rims into the chocolate pieces. Lift the glasses from the chocolate, gently shake any excess chocolate, right the glasses and set aside.
  • Fill cocktail shaker 1/2 way with ice.
  • Add Godiva chocolate liqueur, RumChata and caramel vodka.
4 ounces Godiva chocolate liqueur, 4 ounces RumChata liqueur, 4 ounces caramel vodka
  • Cap shaker and shake 20 seconds.
  • Divide and strain liquid into the martini glasses. Be careful not to touch the garnished rims (and if there is extra, pour into a little sidecar glass).
  • Sip, smile, and enjoy.

Notes

Helpful Tips

  • Godiva chocolate liqueur is what I use in this recipe, but since it’s no longer in production, any chocolate liqueur will work just fine.
  • For garnish, I like to rim the glass with chocolate sauce and dip it into finely chopped dark chocolate.
  • You can use any chocolate you like for the garnish, but I prefer dark chocolate—Dove is a good choice. (It’s also my favorite chocolate to snack on!)
  • Dark chocolate gives a nice contrast against the drink, while milk chocolate tends to blend in too much with the cocktail’s color.
  • While it might be tempting to drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass, I skip it. The drink is already sweet enough, and the syrup can make it overly rich.
  • If you don’t have RumChata, Baileys Irish Cream will work as a substitute—but RumChata really gives the best flavor in this mix.
