Helpful Tips
You can make this cocktail in a shaker or build in the glass. I have done it both ways. I prefer the shaker.
I'm using a Collin's glass and a double old fashioned glass. But you can also use a highball glass.
There are different brands of sloe gin. This is what I had on hand but a great brand is Plymouth sloe gin.
There are three different versions of Southern Comfort - original, black, and 100 - you can use any one of them, but I prefer the original.
I am using the Disaronno brand of Amaretto but you can use any brand you prefer.
Depending on the size of your glassware, you may have to adjust the ice to fill up the glass.
I love a good maraschino cherry. I always wash the cherries before using them as garnish because I don't want the sweetened syrup to mar the taste of the cocktail I'm making.
Want a more fruity flavor? Add more orange juice. This will also dilute the cocktail if you don't want a strong drink.
Adjust the orange juice to the size of your glass.
