This vibrant and refreshing Hurricane Cocktail is made with rum, grenadine, passion fruit syrup, and citrus juices. It’s the ultimate tropical cocktail recipe to impress a crowd!
2quartersorange wheel(use as much as you want, I find that 2 is fine. Slice the orange wheel thinly, then cut in quarters and cut a slit in the flesh so you can put on the rims of the glasses.)
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, and get the glassware.
Add the rums, passion fruit, orange juice, grenadine and lime juice.
3 ounces white rum, 3 ounces gold rum, 3 ounces passion fruit syrup, 3 ounces orange juice, .75 ounces grenadine syrup, 1 ounce lime juice
Add fresh ice to the glasses.
Cap cocktail shaker and shake for 15 seconds. Divide and pour the liquid between the two glasses. (Divide the shaker ice between the glasses as well.)
Add an orange slice to each rim of the glasses. Place a cherry in each glass.
2 quarters orange wheel, 2 maraschino cherries

Although this is usually served in a hurricane glass, serve it in whatever you have on hand. Even a double old fashioned glass will do. I use two tulip shaped glasses.
I use white and gold rum, but you can use one kind of rum if you prefer. You can also use dark rum but NOT spiced rum.
You can either use passion fruit syrup like I did, or passion fruit juice. I couldn't find juice that didn't have additives or other juices in it, so I bought the syrup from Amazon.
Wash the citrus before you use it to remove any pesticide. Here's how: squirt some unscented natural hand soap in your hand and take each lime and rub the soap on the skin. Next, scrub the skin with a vegetable brush. Run each piece of fruit under cold water to make sure all of the soap has washed off.
Want to lessen the cocktail's sweetness? Add .50 ounce instead of .75 ounce of grenadine.
