Notes

Tips on making this cocktail:
  • I like using a pure cranberry juice that hasn't been sweetened.  That way I can add the amount of sugar I deem appropriate instead of having to settle for the amount of sugar that they put in most cranberry juices on the market
  • Even though the cranberry juice I used doesn't have sugar, there is no need to add any.  Try this recipe as is, and if you taste it and still think it needs sugar, add .25 ounce of simple syrup at a time to get the right amount in your cocktail
  • If you do use cranberry juice with sugar added, I say skip simple syrup completely - just taste it and see if you don't like it this way
  • Whenever you eat strawberries, you need to wash them well since they are among the top ten most pesticide-ridden fruits
