Helpful tips
You can either serve this cocktail on the rocks or straight up in a martini glass, which is what I prefer.
I use Midori for this cocktail, but you can use any melon-flavored alcohol.
Although this recipe calls for Grey Goose vodka, we're mixing it with fruit juice (in this case, orange juice) and liqueur, which means you can't taste the vodka as well, so you don't need a premium brand.
When I garnish my cocktails with fruit, I usually use a martini pick to keep it off the bottom of the glass. This allows you and your guests to nibble on the fruit without waiting for the drink to be fully imbibed or having to fish it out with your fingers. (Christopher hoped no one was looking.)
If you love honeydew, buy the whole melon to cut up the fruit garnish. Otherwise, I recommend buying a pre-cut container of fruit that comes with melon chunks.
