  • 15 mint leaves
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice

Rest of Ingredients

  • 2 ounce Cointreau or triple sec
  • 2 ounce blueberry/pomegranate juice or pure blueberry juice
  • ice

  • 8 blueberries

The Mixing

  • Place blueberries, mint and lime juice in the cocktail shaker and muddle them together until they are smooshed and you can smell the mint
  • Add vodka, Cointreau, blueberry pomegranate juice and ice
  • Cap shaker and shake 30 seconds
  • Strain contents into glasses and spoon some of the muddled blueberries and mint.  Add the garnish
  • Sip
  • Smile
  • Enjoy

Tips to make the blueberry mint cosmo:
  • Use the best quality vodka you can afford
  • Use fresh mint without blemishes
  • Muddling mint will cause some bruising, it’s all good. You want the mint to release the flavors
  • If you don’t have a muddler, use the back of a wooden spoon
  • If you don’t mind spending a fortune, buy pure blueberry juice instead of the pomegranate/blueberry mixture
  • I don’t mind the pomegranate/blueberry juice, I don’t think you will either. It’s 1/3 of the price of the pure juice
