You can make the ginger infused simple syrup at least an hour before you make the cocktail because it needs to cool.
Helpful tips
  • If you don't have a muddler, a good alternative is using the back of a wooden spoon.
  • If you don't have time to make your own homemade grapefruit vodka, Absolut has a great version.
  • Ginger simple syrup is delicious and lasts a long time in the refrigerator. It takes less than 20 minutes to make and is worth it. Just make sure to make it at least an hour before starting the recipe. Or better yet, make the day before.
