Helpful tips
I buy my chicken wings in Whole Foods. The quality is always consistent and the meat tastes so fresh.
After you unwrap the wings, pat dry with paper towels.
You will not be adding any salt because the soy sauce is salty enough.
You will need to stand at the oven when you broil the wings because if you don't check it as it's broiling, the honey has a tendency to blacken.
The honey I'm using is thick and unfiltered, so I've been heating the honey and soy together. I suggest you do too. You just heat the sauce long enough to melt the honey.
I use soy sauce but I've also used coconut aminos and it works wonderfully.
I also used normal soy sauce but you can also use a light soy sauce - with low sodium.
Although this recipe would work in an air fryer, I choose to bake it because of the amount of wings I cook. Air frying would require multiple batches.
If you have leftovers, place the wings in an airtight container and store for up to a week in the refrigerator.
