Get your servings of fruit and veggies in one drink with this delicious banana spinach smoothie. Easy to make, packed with nutrients, and totally tasty - what's not to love?
3ice cubes(optional - depending how thick you want your smoothie)
Instructions
Add all the ingredients in your blender container. Cap the blender and blend until ingredients are combined.
1 cup spinach, 1 banana, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup yogurt, scoop collagen, 3 ice cubes
Pour into glass
Sip, smile, and enjoy.
Notes
If you don't want the spinach in your smoothie, omit it!This recipe is for one smoothie. Double it if you want two!Helpful tips
You can use fresh blueberries and bananas like the ones pictured below or, if you like your smoothie to be as cold as I do, you can freeze the fruit. I made Christopher's smoothie from the fresh fruit because he doesn't like his drinks cold.
For my smoothie, I use frozen wild blueberries and a banana I peeled, cut and put in the freezer the night before.
Does the order that you add the ingredients matter? In a blender with the blades in the cover, you add the solids first and then the liquids.
With a blender like a Vitamix where the blades are in the bottom of the container, you need to add the liquids first, then the powders, then the fruit and spinach.
